Our Junior program is specifically designed for kids aged 7 to 12 and is designed to give your child the skills and confidence they will need to thrive in life.

Welcome to the Matt Fiddes Martial Arts – Moreton and North Brisbane
Matt Fiddes Moreton and North Brisbane is run by husband and wife team John and Julie Marshall. We are parents to 2 children so understand the challenges that face children, parents and families today.
Mr Marshall our Head Instructor has over 35 years of martial arts experience. It was when our then 5 year old son was being bullied at school, we looked for a martial arts school that taught 5 year old children but also kept their focus, built their self confidence and resilience. We found Matt Fiddes Martial Arts.
Our then 5 year old is now 16 years old and is a black belt and Assistant Instructor. He has confidence, a black belt attitude of not giving up and is helping children follow in his young footsteps.
We are a local family owned school hoping to make a difference to the children and adults that we teach.
Our philosophy is simple; “Martial Arts is not about learning to fight. It is about learning to live a better life.”
Regular training through Matt Fiddes Martial Arts delivers much more than physical improvement. Your strength, flexibility, endurance, balance, and confidence will increase considerably. But this is only the start. Physical skills act as a foundation for something much more important: the development of value skills, both mental and spiritual.
Children at the Matt Fiddes Martial Arts Schools learn life skills such as Respect, Discipline, Goal setting, Concentration, Stranger Awareness, First Aid and lots more.
The Matt Fiddes Martial Arts method incorporates a combination of techniques and principles from a variety of martial arts styles for a well-balanced self-defence system, including: Karate, Kickboxing, Tae Kwon Do, Ju Jitsu, martial arts weapons and Kung Fu – all of which provides our students with a well-balanced self-defence system.
