The Royal Queensland Show (Ekka) is Queensland’s largest annual event. Held over ten full days (9-18 August 2019), Ekka showcases life and achievements in the Sunshine State, bringing visitors from across Queensland and Australia to the heart of Brisbane.

This year marks the 142nd show, and more than 400,000 people are expected to come together to celebrate Queensland’s most loved annual event. The Ekka showcases the best of Queensland with animal competitions, award-winning food and wine, live entertainment, carnival fun, family shopping, educational activities and much more.

More than 70 per cent of the show grounds are dedicated to free entertainment and activities including the spectacular night show Ekka NITES, 10,000 animals on show and performances by a number of family favourites like the Heritage Bank Racing Pigs and the PJ Masks, Angry Birds, Jimmy Giggle and Dora the Explorer stage shows.

This year Ekka has frozen the prices of tickets across the board including the adult and child pass (still $45), concession tickets (still $25) and last year’s new Family Pass price (still $80 for 2 adults and 2 kids).  Last year the RNA reduced ticket prices for the first time in 15 years and we are pleased to be delivering great family ticket value again in 2019.
