  Booked a 2 hour disco party for my daughter’s birthday (17 children). There was no disco but apparently they classify a disco as music playing in the background and some lighting but unfortunately there was no dedicated dance time. I had paid for the extended 2 hour party but was concerned after the first 1.5 hours regarding how the last 30 minutes would be filled in and actually thought that they had forgotten that it was an extended party at one stage. My daughter was left to open presents while staff spent the last 40 minutes cleaning the premises, stacking chairs, sweeping the floor, and removing the limited food options from the buffet so that dishes could be washed and put away. The venue was on the small side and the food options inadequate. Against the recommendation of staff I ordered some additional food and am thankful I did as I’m not sure what the children would have eaten otherwise. Birthday cupcakes were provided by the venue but were quickly discarded by the children who said that they did not taste nice. The children threw them in the bin that had already been emptied and was missing a bin liner. This is what happens when you clean up too early and on your client’s time. In their great haste to clean up we were not even offered the left over cupcakes to take home, not that we would have wanted them. Overall the staff were not friendly or tolerant of children but engaged with them by barking orders and enforcing rules. Overall it seemed like a big race to get out the door and was a very disappointing experience.
