Exquisite Bodies

Exquisite Bodies is an interactive all-ages exhibition for the whole family designed in collaboration between disabled artist Bruno Booth and AGWA’s Head of Learning Lilly Blue. The participatory exhibition interrupts preconceived perceptions of disability and normativity creating space for slow-play, experimentation and contemplation.

In celebration of every body, audiences are invited to build monumental figurative sculptures that transform, morph and change throughout the day. There is also an opportunity to contribute to AGWA’s online Exquisite Bodies Gallery by playing the surrealist drawing game, Exquisite Corpse, where the head, body and legs of a figure are drawn by three different people, resulting in hilarious and unusual representations of humanness.
